This Code of Ethics outlines the principles and practices for all Good add Ventures (GaV) social media and YouTube engagement.
Its primary aim is to maintain professional boundaries, protect personal well-being, and ensure effective, efficient communication aligned with our mission to create "Tech for Good" companies through Good add Ventures.
1.1 Professional Content Only: All content published across platforms will strictly adhere to the project's professional scope: documenting the setup of Good add Ventures, a studio focused on "Tech for Good."
1.2 No Personal Disclosure: There will be absolutely no disclosure of personal information, including but not limited to:
1.3 No Filming in Private Residences (On-Location): All on-location filming will take place in designated professional or public spaces relevant to the project. Under no circumstances will filming occur in a personal residence (e.g., home, apartment) when physically present.
1.4 Separation of Personal and Professional Accounts: Dedicated Good add Ventures accounts will be used for all project-related content. Personal social media accounts will remain entirely separate and will not be used to promote or engage with Good add Ventures content.
2.1 Limited Engagement Time: Active engagement on social media platforms will be strictly time-limited and scheduled. There will be no spontaneous or unscheduled browse or interaction outside of designated content posting and monitoring periods.
2.2 Disabling Comments (Where Possible): Where platform functionality allows, comments will be disabled on all Good add Ventures content (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, Instagram posts). The primary goal is to minimise exposure to potentially toxic or time-consuming interactions.
2.3 No Comment Replies: Even if comments are enabled by default or cannot be disabled, there will be no direct replies to comments. All communication or updates will be delivered through new content posts or official announcements.
2.4 Curated Following/Connections: Good add Ventures accounts will only follow or connect with individuals and organisations directly relevant to the "Tech for Good" ecosystem, venture capital, entrepreneurship, or media professionals involved in the project. This minimises exposure to irrelevant or potentially distressing content.
2.5 Muting/Blocking Unconstructive Engagement: Any accounts or content that consistently demonstrate negativity, harassment, or a disregard for constructive dialogue will be muted or blocked without hesitation.
2.6 Avoiding "For You" Pages & Infinite Scrolls: Conscious effort will be made to avoid algorithmic "For You" pages, "Explore" tabs, or infinite scroll features that encourage passive consumption and can lead to excessive screen time and exposure to irrelevant content.
2.7 No Direct Messages (DMs) or Private Chats: Direct messaging or private chat features on any platform will not be used for Good add Ventures communication. All official inquiries or collaborations will be directed to designated email addresses.
